Susanne H. Brown   

A  National and regional award winning artist, Susanne Brown’s art hangs in many homes throughout the world. She has studied art for more than 40 years and continues to update her knowledge with lectures and workshops given by many prominent local and international artists.

Although primarily a watercolorist, she enjoys working with many water mediums including acrylics, inks and collage. She also loves painting everything from flowers, landscapes to abstracts.

“My life long interest in the arts began at a very early age when my family made frequent trips to New York City to visit Museums and art galleries. 

My aunt, a professional artist, would take me out plein air painting while she visited my home on Long Island Sound.  The beauty of the water and trees was picture perfect.  Now living in Fort Myers, Florida with the beaches, palm trees and beautiful sunny days I am continually inspired to paint as I was as a child.”

Currently her work is on display at several of the art leagues in the area where she has won numerous awards.  In the 2006/2007 season her awards include; The Artist Choice Fine Art Show FM; Abstract Fine Art, FM; The Winners Circle Show, Naples Florida; The San Cap show at Big Arts in Sanibel; The Festival of Light Show, FM Florida;  Fort Myers Beach Art Show and the CeleBration Fine Art Show.  Her work is also represented at The Rising Star Art Studio in Cape Harbour, Cape Coral, Florida.

She is a member of the Florida Watercolor Society, The International Society of Acrylic Painters-Fl. and the South West Art Council.

Susanne donates her paintings to several local charities, for fund raising, each year.
