Betty Weise
Betty and her husband moved to Ft. Myers in 1990, and Sanibel in 1999, after vacationing in Southwest Florida for many years. A third generation Ohioan, Betty received a B.S. in Design Degree from the University of Cincinnati, followed by a Masters Degree in Early Education in later years.
Betty has exhibited in watercolors for over 25 years in Art Shows and galleries in Ohio, Kentucky, Florida, and more recently in California, where three married children live. She has had successful one-woman shows in Cincinnati and several two-person shows in Southwest Florida. She is an active member of the Sanibel-Captiva Art League, The Ft. Myers Beach Art Association and The Florida Watercolor Society. She has won a variety of awards in juried exhibits over the years. Betty has also participated in many art workshops in the Florida area with such acclaimed artists as Frank Webb, Mel Stabin, Chung Kee Chee and classes with Ray Loos in Cincinnati.
