Celebrating Local Artistry
For over 75 years, the Fort Myers Beach Art Association & Gallery has brought artists and art lovers together through a shared appreciation for the beauty, character and creative spirit of Southwest Florida.
Founded on Fort Myers Beach by a small group of plein air painters, FMBAA has grown into a vibrant nonprofit arts organization with deep roots in the region. Today, our Fort Myers gallery showcases original artwork by local artists working in a wide range of styles and media—offering visitors and collectors an opportunity to discover art that reflects the color, light, landscape and life of Southwest Florida.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we are committed to supporting artists, encouraging creativity and connecting our community through art.
Experience Local Art
Our gallery offers an ever-changing collection of original artwork created by Southwest Florida artists. From coastal landscapes and wildlife to contemporary, abstract and traditional work, there is art to fit every style and budget.
Visitors can browse at their own pace, discover new artists and purchase original artwork directly from the gallery. Most artwork is available to take home the same day.
Rooted in Southwest Florida
Our story began with artists painting together outdoors, capturing the landscape around them in the plein air tradition. More than seven decades later, that spirit of observation, exploration and connection continues.
Our artists remain inspired by the distinctive environment of Southwest Florida while bringing their own perspectives, techniques and creative voices to their work.
Art to Take Home
Looking for something easy to travel with or give as a gift? The gallery offers smaller original works, unframed and matted artwork, artist-designed greeting cards and our popular “mini masterpieces”—original 5×7 works matted to 8×10.
These portable pieces make it easy to take a little of Southwest Florida home with you.
