Building a Strong Future for FMBAA
For more than 75 years, the Fort Myers Beach Art Association’s gallery on Donora Street was a home for artists and art lovers—a place to create, learn, teach, exhibit and gather.
In September 2022, Hurricane Ian destroyed the gallery and much of Fort Myers Beach. While the building was lost, the Association and its community of artists carried on.
Today, FMBAA continues to offer classes, member shows, and other opportunities for members to create and connect throughout Fort Myers Beach and the greater Fort Myers area.
We welcome artists and visitors to our gallery in Cypress Square. At the same time, we continue to look toward the future and our goal of establishing a permanent home for the Association.

Help Build What Comes Next
The Rebuilding Fund supports FMBAA’s goal of creating a permanent gallery and creative home for generations to come.
A future permanent home will provide a place to:
-
Exhibit and sell original artwork by local artists
-
Offer classes, workshops and artist demonstrations
-
Support emerging and established artists
-
Encourage young artists and continue our student programs
-
Bring artists and the community together through a shared love of art
Your contribution to the Rebuilding Fund helps move that vision forward.
A Legacy Worth Building On
FMBAA was incorporated in 1951, and its first permanent gallery was built in 1968 through the determination and generosity of members and supporters who believed the arts deserved a permanent home in the community.
More than 75 years after the Association began, that same spirit continues.
Help us build the next chapter of FMBAA.
