Happy Accidents Fall Juried Show October. 28 - Dec. 7, 2026

Sometimes the most memorable discoveries begin with something unexpected. A surprising color combination, an expressive mark, or an unexpected relationship between shapes can open the door to a new way of seeing. Happy Accidents, a juried exhibition at the Fort Myers Beach Art Association & Gallery, invites you to explore the possibilities of original art and discover the pieces that speak to you.

On view from October 28 through December 7, 2026, this exhibition brings together original two-dimensional artwork by Association members. Its open theme gives artists room to share their individual perspectives, offering visitors a varied experience rather than a collection centered on one subject. As you move through the gallery, take time to notice how different approaches to color, composition, texture, and light shape your response to each work.

The exhibition welcomes a broad range of traditional media, including drawing, watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, collage, hand-pulled prints, serigraphs, woodcuts, and batik. That variety offers an opportunity to appreciate both the finished artwork and the qualities of the materials themselves. Look closely at the transparency of a watercolor wash, the layering of painted surfaces, the softness of pastel, or the interplay of paper and texture in collage. Exhibition judge Neil Walling will select the award recipients, including the Lee Ackert Memorial Best of Show.
